Richard Metzger, Gallery Director

Born in New York City in 1954, raised in Kansas City, Richard Metzger attended Bishop Miege High School.

In 1973, he joined the US Army and spent thirteen months in Korea. After his discharge, Richard moved back to Kansas City and became a professional photographer.

Earning a BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. Richard moved to Abilene Texas and went to work for the Center for Contemporary Art, thus starting a fourteen year career in non-profit management.

Richard is married to Dr. Kenyon Holder, who teaches Art History for Troy University and lives in Cloverdale close to Stonehenge Gallery. He has two children, both of whom attend Troy University.
